<answer><![CDATA[Yes. Previous scholars have included marketing, finance, psychology, and art history majors in addition to fashion design, merchandising, and textile majors. Students of any major with a demonstrated interest in fashion are qualified, but can only apply if the student is enrolled and nominated by an FSF member school.]]></answer>

<answer><![CDATA[No. All application portfolios, papers, and information related to the scholarship application process become property of the FSF. Upon request, we can attempt to return copies of the documents.]]></answer>

<answer><![CDATA[Yes. The scholarship amount should be applied towards the following: tuition, pursuing further educational interest in your field, and assisting with traveling for summer internship opportunities.]]></answer>

<answer><![CDATA[Yes. As part of our Mission, it is the intent of the FSF, through our vast network, and Ambassador Program to assist in the securing of summer internships. However, the FSF is not a placement service for our scholar recipients.]]></answer>

For jobs, one of our generous sponsors, 24 Seven Inc (24seveninc.com), is a placement service for the industry.]]></answer>

<answer><![CDATA[Yes. We encourage rising juniors who have received a scholarship from the FSF, if eligible, to reapply their rising senior year.]]></answer>

<question><![CDATA[What is the AMY award? ]]></question>
<answer><![CDATA[The AMY award is a most prestigious honor the Fashion Scholarship Fund bestows upon industry icons each January at our annual awards dinner. AMY (which is YMA spelled backwards) recognizes three aspects of the industry: a retailer of the year, a wholesaler of the year and a celebrity designer or educator each year during our recognition ceremony. Past honorees have included Zac Posen, Tim Gunn, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Geoffrey Beene, Mindy Grossman, and Kenneth Cole. In 2008, the YMA FSF initiated its first ever Life Time Achievement Award, with our inaugural recognition going to former Kohl’s President and noted philanthropists, Patty and Jay Baker.]]></answer>

<question><![CDATA[What is the Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship and how do I win it?]]></question>
<answer><![CDATA[The Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship is a $25,000 scholarship given to four scholars who won a $5,000 scholarship the year prior. Each member school will pick the best student of their scholarship pool to complete Geoffrey Beene Case Study for consideration. The winners and finalists will be announced at our annual dinner. <question><![CDATA[Does every scholar have a mentor? What is the purpose of a mentor?]]></question>
<answer><![CDATA[Ambassadors serve as the liaison between students and the industry. It is the role of the Ambassadors assigned to each member school to assist our scholarship recipients with finding and securing a mentor for each scholar. The mentorship program is an integral part of the FSF’s many programs to become a total resource for our industry and scholarship recipients.]]></answer>
